Tracking KPIs of External Marketing Measures
External Marketing, eg. via Facebook Ads, can be a good way to increase your products' sales. There is, however, by default no way of knowing how many of those external clicks actually resulted in sales. This makes it very difficult to understand how and which of your ads are actually performing.
Tracking Sales via Specific URLs with Affiliate Partner ID
This is where Super URLs come into play. Super URLs let you input your a Tracking ID (aka Partner ID) from the Amazon Affiliate Program (click here to register for free). Sales that result from clicks on that Super URL will then be associated with that specific Tracking ID.
The Performance for all the URLs (ie. different Ads) which included your Tracking IDs can be seen in your Partner Net Dashboard under Reports:
Creation of Multiple Tracking IDs for Different Ads
Via the the Account Management at the top and the menu point "Manage Your Tracking IDs" several different Tracking IDs can be created:
Entering Tracking ID into Super URL in Sellics
After creating a Super URL, the Tracking ID can be entered into the "Affiliate ID" field:
The Seller ID is only required if the product is being sold by multiple sellers, ensuring the Super URL will lead to the correct offer.
Theoretically Super URLs can also be used for keyword ranking optimization purposes. Sellics does not recommend this type of usage though as this is in all probabilty against Amazon's TOS.
